I cannot believe I forgot to take a photo of my delicious lamb shank. The special lamb shank is usually served on Fridays but if you call the day before, they can have it for you on a Saturday which is what we did. The restaurant was very generous with the bread which was served with their homemade yogurt. The yogurt was refreshing and made an excellent dip for the flat bread. Once our party of four finished a bowl of bread, they kindly brought us more! I absolutely loved the succulent lamb. You know it's been cooked for hours when the meat is so soft, it falls off the bone. It is served on a bed of basmati rice of fresh dill and fava beans. A friend suggested getting half rice and half salad as there was plenty of rice. It was a great suggestion. The salad could have used more dressing but luckily the yogurt acted as a great substitute in my opinion! I am so used to plain white rice that this persian version was just wonderful and different! For dessert, we tried the Persian ice cream and baklava. They were interesting. The ice cream was soft, almost melted. The baklava was different from Geek baklava. It had a mixture of nuts that I couldn't distinguish. Both were good.

I come in a few times a month for lunch and always get the kubideh with half rice and half salad. Everything is is fresh and hot. Soda and fresh pita included. Not sure about the other reviews but for 15 bucks it's good and filling.

The food is delicious and service/ambience is amazing! We had the Koo Koo sandwich (chewy falafel, crunchy pickled veg), hummus (divine! perfect texture & consistency), and several kabob platters. Our first time here, my son & I wandered in, not noticing the time (20 min before closing). When we realized it was nearly closing time, we tried to leave but the owners insisted we stay. We did, and had a tasty, delightful meal. One of our favorite places!

Portion, flavor, texture, price, presentation/service: 4/5 They are offering a complimentary glass of wine with purchase of entree from Sunday night - Thursday night. While we didn't partake of this, I can see it being a good draw for the weary at the end of the day and thought I'd promote it. We got the fried eggplant appetizer, lentil soup, kubideh kabob and lamb shank. Super filling for an early Sunday dinner with the Italy-England game. The portions, textures, price and service/presentation were lovely. Flavors were ALMOST there. Understandably, salt should be understated so diners can adjust to suit their palate. The lamb was fork tender but missing something aromatic to put just over the top?
